When you buy a Ram truck, you may get a diesel-fueled vehicle or gas-powered vehicle. Depending on the version you choose, you get a different powertrain warranty:

• With a Diesel-Based Ram: 5-Year/100,000-Mile Diesel Powertrain Limited Warranty
• With a Gas-Powered Ram: 5-Year/60,000-Mile Gas Powertrain Limited Warranty

No matter which warranty you’re set up with, you will be covered on the cost of any repairs for powertrain components, including:

• Transmission Coverage
  • Transmission case, torque converter, pressure and speed sensors, and the transmission range switch
• Drive Systems Coverage
  • Front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, and four-wheel drive

• Gas Engine Coverage
  • Cylinder block, intake and exhaust manifolds, oil and water pump, and the supercharger

And if you need it, this warranty will also include complimentary towing to your nearest CDJR dealer. What’s more is that this warranty is also transferable. What this means is that if you sell the vehicle before the warranty is up, the new owner will receive the same benefits.

Ram Basic Limited Warranty

On top of the powertrain warranty, there is also the Ram Basic Limited Warranty available, which provides drivers with coverage for up to 3 years or 36,000 miles. This warranty covers bumper-to-bumper repairs from anything electrical to body repairs. Just like powertrain warranty, the basic limited warranty is also transferable and also covers any towing services you need.
